Related Knowledge of Wood Crushing Equipment
Crushing machine refers to equipment used to grinding large size solid raw materials into required size. It is also called wood crusher/shredder/grinder and wood shredding in some places. The mechanical force which be used in crushing process includes rolling, shredding, impacting and grinding. Rolling is suitable for hard and large materials. Shredding is suitable for small, tough materials. Impacting is suitable for brittle material. Grinding is suitable for small materials and fine grinding. The actual crushing process often mixed with two or more kinds of mechanical force.
Types of Crushing Equipment
Crushing machinery can be divided into 4 types: hammer mill (hammer type crusher), dise crusher, claw type crusher and roller mill.
- Hammer Mill: Shredding raw materials through the striking of high-speed rotating hammer. It is featured of simple structure, easy operation, cheap price and wide application. It can crush almost all kinds of biomass materials.
- Disc Crusher: Grinding raw materials using friction and cutting action. It is suitable to crushing oil-free and dry materials. You can get fine powder with this kind of crusher.
- Claw Type Crusher: Mainly utilize the impact and shearing. It is suitable for crushing brittle hard materials.
- Roller Mill: There are two grinding roller with the same diameter. The surface of roller is full of horizontal helical. When running, the force of shearing and extruding between the rollers will crush the materials. It is suitable for crushing grain and feed materials, but not suitable for oiliness or high water content materials (more than 8%).
